"We Care!"

Welcome to the Clark County Humane Society!

Located in Neillsville, Wisconsin, we are proud to be the

Premier No-Kill Shelter in Central Wisconsin!

CCHS is a non-profit organization dedicated to the

care and adoption of cats and dogs. Our goal is to

assist the lost, surrendered, unwanted, and unloved

cats and dogs in need of our help.

** During the COVID-19 pandemic, CCHS is open by appointment only for approved adoptions.  We are sorry, but we are not open for general visitors.  **

FixaPet is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays for scheduled spay/neuter surgeries and appointments.

CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the

Department of Animal Health - DATCP.

Be a part of all the      great things

happening at CCHS!

Microchipping is available at CCHS!  For just $15.00 your pet can receive a microchip, tag, and lifetime registration!  Please email us for an appointment at petshelter@email.com.

Masks Required!
Effective 8/1/20, we will be
abiding by the State of Wisconsin
mask mandate.  We ask everyone
coming to CCHS, FixaPet and
CC Resale to please wear a
mask.  Thank you for helping
us to keep everyone safe!

CCHS is continuing to do adoptions by appointment only using social distancing guidelines.  Our adoption floor and Kitty City are not open for general viewing at this time.  Pets available for adoption may be seen on our website and applications can be submitted online as well.  Volunteer Orientations, Tours, Birthday Parties and Outreach events have been discontinued until further notice.

Our CC Resale store is again open on Saturdays from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.  We ask all customers to wear a mask and to follow social distancing guidelines.  If needed, we will limit the number of customers in the store at a time.  There is a ton of new merchandise on display, so you're sure to find some treasures you just have to have!

Our FixaPet Program is providing spay/neuter services once again.  We are catching up as best we can as we reschedule the appointments cancelled in March, April, May and June.  Appointments for vaccinations are also being scheduled.  FixaPet staff are providing curbside service, so you may please stay in your vehicle.  We will bring the paperwork to your car and take your pets in/out for you.  Please be sure dogs have properly-fitting collars and cats are in a secure pet carrier.   Appointments can be made by contacting our Appointment Coordinator Heidi at cchs.fixapet@gmail.com or at 715-937-7770 (please leave a message).

Donations continue to be vital right now and are so needed to help us keep going. You can make a monetary donation of any amount online through our website at: cchs-petshelter.org/donate-to-cchs. Donations of food and supplies may be left outside our main entrance door where staff will keep an eye out and bring them quickly inside. Our Wish List is at: cchs-petshelter.org/wish-list. If ordering through Amazon, remember to use Smile.Amazon.com and indicate CCHS as your charity of choice. Our Amazon Wish List can be found at: bit.ly/CCHSWishList. Every penny is truly going to help make a difference for the animals.

If you are in Marshfield, donations can also be left at Mall Furniture.  They have partnered with us to be a drop-off collection point for donations to help the animals.  We thank them for their assistance and support!

If you have any urgent questions or needs, please email us at petshelter@email.com, as our phones may not be answered. This is an extremely challenging time for us, as we focus on providing the best care possible for our cats and dogs.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.  We do know that we’ll get through this with the help of all our members, supporters and friends.  Please stay safe and stay well!

19,000 Surgeries

done in FixaPet!

We are celebrating 19,000 surgeries done in our FixaPet Program! Since FixaPet started, we have helped make a difference for more than 19,000 cats and dogs. We are so very proud of our staff and our vets, Dr. Gary and Dr. Jen, for the wonderful work they do. In honor of this milestone, Meena, shown here with her mom Jessica, received her surgery free!  They were just delighted to be #19,000!  If you have a cat or dog that needs to be spayed or neutered, give us a call! We'll be happy to help your pet too!!

2019 Dog & Cat Statistics

We are very proud of our 2019 Statistics.  As a true No-Kill Shelter, we believe that transparency is critical to our mission, and will always disclose factual numbers for adoptions/RTO's/transfers/deaths/euthanasias at the Shelter. (Redemptions or RTO's are strays that came to the Shelter and are returned to their owners.)  We are thrilled that our Live Release Rate is 99.5% for dogs in 2019 and 97.2% for cats.
