Masks Required!
Effective 8/1/20, we will be
abiding by the State of Wisconsin
mask mandate. We ask everyone
coming to CCHS, FixaPet and
CC Resale to please wear a
mask. Thank you for helping
us to keep everyone safe!
CCHS is continuing to do adoptions by appointment only using social distancing guidelines. Our adoption floor and Kitty City are not open for general viewing at this time. Pets available for adoption may be seen on our website and applications can be submitted online as well. Volunteer Orientations, Tours, Birthday Parties and Outreach events have been discontinued until further notice.
Our CC Resale store is again open on Saturdays from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. We ask all customers to wear a mask and to follow social distancing guidelines. If needed, we will limit the number of customers in the store at a time. There is a ton of new merchandise on display, so you're sure to find some treasures you just have to have!
Our FixaPet Program is trying to catch up as best we can. We do have a waiting list for spay/neuter surgeries and priority will be given to those clients as spots become available. Appointments for vaccinations are also being scheduled as time allows. Appointments can be made by contacting our Appointment Coordinator Heidi at or at 715-937-7770 (please leave a message).
Donations continue to be vital right now and are so needed to help us keep going. You can make a donation through the PayPal Giving Fund where 100% of the donation goes to CCHS with $0 processing fees. Our PayPal Giving Fund page is at: bit.ly/PayPalCCHS. You can also make a monetary donation of any amount online through our website at: cchs-petshelter.org/donate-to-cchs. Donations of food and supplies may be left outside our main entrance door where staff will keep an eye out and bring them quickly inside. Our Wish List is at: cchs-petshelter.org/wish-list. If ordering through Amazon, remember to use Smile.Amazon.com and indicate CCHS as your charity of choice. AmazonSmile will then donate 0.5% of your eligible purchases to CCHS, and it doesn't cost you a thing! Our Amazon Wish List can be found at: bit.ly/CCHSWishList. Every penny is truly going to help make a difference for the animals.
If you are in Marshfield, donations can also be left at Mall Furniture. They have partnered with us to be a drop-off collection point for donations to help the animals. We thank them for their assistance and support!
If you have any urgent questions or needs, please email us at , as our phones may not be answered. This is an extremely challenging time for us, as we focus on providing the best care possible for our cats and dogs. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We do know that we’ll get through this with the help of all our members, supporters and friends. Please stay safe and stay well!

2019 Dog & Cat Statistics
We are very proud of our 2019 Statistics. As a true No-Kill Shelter, we believe that transparency is critical to our mission, and will always disclose factual numbers for adoptions/RTO's/transfers/deaths/euthanasias at the Shelter. (Redemptions or RTO's are strays that came to the Shelter and are returned to their owners.) We are thrilled that our Live Release Rate is 99.5% for dogs in 2019 and 97.2% for cats.
