One of the best parts of what we do here at CCHS is hearing back from our alumni. Recently "Briton" stopped in
to visit with his owners Scott and Crystal. Most of the Shelter volunteers and members will remember him by his
former name, "Triton". Briton had been through an awful lot when he came to the Shelter, including gunshot wounds, stomach
problems, frostbite, fly-bitten ears, and Lymes Disease. Despite so many painful problems, Briton never
lost his happy outlook and ability to love. It was wonderful to see him again, and to see how loved and treasured
he is. He was lucky enough to find the perfect family to love him. That is what it's all about here at CCHS.
We know that if given enough time and love, every animal in our care has the potential to be a wonderful success story just
like Briton. Again, it's just one more reason why we are so proud to be a No-Kill Shelter.
We love to have our alumni stop back to visit. We're even thinking of having a Doggie Alumni Reunion Day in the
future. (We don't think the kitty alumni would really be too enthusiastic about such an event!) Please feel free
to stop by CCHS with a Shelter alumni anytime to visit. And if you can't get to the Shelter, please remember that we
love to see pictures and notes, too. We all get very attached to the animals here at CCHS, and it's wonderful to be
able to keep in touch!
