Carlton.jpg
Rod and Kathleen loved having two dogs around, but unfortunately recently lost 'Molly' to cancer.  In search of a new companion and friend, they found "Carlton".  They brought their other dog, Missy, to meet Carlton and she thought he would be an acceptable addition to the family. Now called "Rufus", he will be joining in their outdoor activities and going along with Kathleen when she goes running.  He's also looking forward to lots of tummy rubs!
Briar.jpg
Lindsay stopped by our Adoption Fair, and was so excited to find "Briar".  She was looking for a cat for her Mom's birthday, and knew Briar was just the one.  Briar came to the Shelter with a terribly matted coat and had to be shaved, but Lindsay was able to see the great potential he has.  After calling her Mom to confirm her surprise, Briar was happy to be on his way home for the big birthday celebration!
Rose.jpg
"Rose" came to the Shelter when her family was moving and she could not go along.  She was such a sweet girl that she was only at the Shelter two days before she found a new home with Karman.  Karman works with the elderly, and is looking forward to sharing her new friend with the elderly residents she stays with.
Maddy1.jpg
Dawn's husband had always wanted a white kitty with blue eyes.  Dawn stopped by our Adoption Fair and, lo and behold, there was Maddy!  She couldn't resist that face, and knew it was meant to be.  Maddy now has a new home and a new Kitty friend.
Celine.jpg
Julie and Jeremy had talked about adding another kitty to their family.  Their daughter Alyssa saw that CCHS was going to be at the mall with our Adoption Fair, and gave her Mom a note asking if they could go shopping for a new kitty at the Mall.  They did, and they couldn't resist little Celine when they got there.  Now called "McKooKoo", they loved her personality and that she was short-haired.  She joins another kitty, Sarah, and we're sure she is causing all kinds of excitement in her new home!
Boots.jpg
Jim and Jenny had been looking for just the right pet for quite some time.  They needed a very sweet, gentle, and calm kitty who would be able to travel with them.  Little "Boots" looked like the perfect kitty for them, and we've heard back that she's doing great!
Barbra.jpg
Joan met "Barbra" when she was volunteering at the Shelter, and thought she was just the cutest kitty.  She was very excited to see her at our Adoption Fair, and quickly contacted her family to come and meet Barbra.  They agreed she'd be a great playmate for their other kitten, Spots, and were delighted to add her to their family.
pepper1.jpg
Ken was in search of a new companion, and knew that "Pepper" was just what he needed.  He had visited the Shelter to spend time with Pepper, and could see he had a great deal of potential with the right training.  We're so glad that Pepper got a chance at a great new home!
Genie.jpg
Tara visited our website to see our dogs, and knew "Genie" was the perfect dog for her the second she saw her.  She brought Eric along to the Shelter to meet her.  They agreed Genie was perfect, and soon Genie was on her way home with a new pink polka-dot collar and pink leash!
Popcorn.jpg
"Popcorn", one of our Puppy Mill rescues, was a special boy in need of a very special home.  Because of his past, Popcorn was going to need lots of love and patience to help him adjust to his new home.  Now called "Jack", he found a great new friend in Jill, who knew she could give him all the love he needed!
RickyBobby.jpg
Tim saw "Ricky" when he was our Pet of the Week.  He and his wife Nancy really liked the breed mix of Beagle and Heeler.  Tim came down to the Shelter to meet Ricky, with strict instructions from his wife that he should adopt both if they were still available, as it just wouldn't be right to separate brothers.  We certainly agreed, and we were delighted the two got to go home together!
Baby.jpg
Heather and Robert were looking for a companion who would cuddle, lay around, and watch TV with them.  They found all of that and more in "Baby".  We've heard that Baby adjusted to his new home the second he walked in the door.  A favorite among Shelter volunteers, we're all so very glad to know that Baby got a great home!
Brittany.jpg
Eric was looking at our website in search of a new kitty.  His family had lost their kitty two years ago and had decided it was finally time to get another one.  He liked the looks of "Brittany" and when he came to meet her, he knew she was just the kitty he wanted to adopt!

Barry.jpg
Angela saw "Barry" when he was our Pet of the Week.  She had wanted an orange, short-haired kitty for quite a while.  He was just what she was looking for, and he was soon on his way home to join his new playmate, Oreo.  Knowing Barry's playful personality, we wouldn't be a bit surprised if he's getting Oreo into all kinds of trouble!
Bella.jpg
Kyle and Leanne stopped at CCHS to meet all of our dogs, but something about "Bella" really stood out from the rest.  They thought she was really friendly and active, and also had a very positive feeling.  Bella was more than happy to go home with her new family.  They promised they would take her for care rides, go to the beach, and spoil her with toys, treats, and love. She couldn't ask for anything more!
