Lake.jpg
Marilyn and Randy were looking for a new kitty to add to their family.  Their daughter Jennifer had recently adopted a kitten, Cheshire, from us, so she knew exactly where they needed to go!  They fell in love with little "Lake", who had the personality they were looking for.  They also love black cats, and Lake just happened to be black, too.  Seems like it was meant to be!
Smoochie.jpg
Lorrie brought her children to our Adoption Fair looking for a new kitty friend.  And who could resist little "Smoochie"?  A darling little kitten who had spent a lot of time in foster care, Smoochie was extremely sociable, both with their family and the other kitties there as well.  So little Smoochie was lucky enough to be picked to be part of a great new family!
Tigger.jpg
Sally and James came to the mall to do some Christmas shopping, and really hadn't planned on taking home a new kitty.  But, you never know what you might find, and they found "Tigger".  They felt that he would be a great match with their other cat, Buddy, and their miniature Dachshund, Fritz, and so Tigger was off to his new home!
Kringle.jpg

Troy and his two daughters came to meet "Kringle" after they saw him online. After knowing a Vizsla, they knew it was a great breed mix for them, and decided to take him home.  He has a great family, a fenced backyard, and a boat to go out on with the family if he likes. He'll certainly be loved & spoiled from now on!

River.jpg
Dena brought her daughter, Mara, to CCHS to pick out a kitten for her early Christmas gift. She was having a hard time deciding which kitten...until she met little River (part of our Water Kittens). He was just what she wanted being cute & very cuddly! Now named Coal, he has several other pets to play with as well as a great new family to cuddle with!
Duke.jpg
"Duke" found himself back at the shelter for the 2nd time due to a lifestyle change in the family. He was a great boy, but as he was black so many passed over him, until Mom Becky saw him online! She fell in love with his face & knew he was the boy for her & her family. Also pictured is her son, who we know Duke will love to play with. We know he'll be a very happy guy now with a super family, trips to the park and swimming time!
Caterpillar.jpg
Jennifer and Jerel adopted little "Caterpillar" at one of our adoptions fairs.  Now called "Smokey", we've heard back that he's doing great and had been a great addition to their family!  We had unfortunately lost the 'Happy Homes' photo taken the day of adoption, so we thank them for sending us a new picture of Smokey actually in his Happy Home!!
Polo.jpg
"Polo" was a very sweet little Shiba Inu who had been rescued from a terrible puppy mill life.  Although her start in life wasn't so great, she was still a sweet little dog with a ton of love to share.  Francine and Charles knew she was just the companion they and their children, Jessica and Cole, were looking for.  Polo joins 'Doby', a MinPin, and we're sure Polo is a very happy little dog now!
Arnold.jpg
Robin and Randal found a great new friend in "Arnold", one of our Chow mix puppies.  They were looking to bring a homeless pet into their loving family, and knew they could provide Arnold with a great new home.  They were looking forward to long walks around the block and on the beach, and promised to give Arnold the best seat on the couch!
Isabella.jpg
"Isabella" was another of our beautiful Chow mix puppies.  Tricia and Doug found her to be exactly the puppy they were looking for.  They were happy to welcome her into their home where she joins Ethan, an Alaskan Malamute.  Both dogs are now enjoying lots of love together, as well as a great fenced-in back yard.
Cutter.jpg
"Cutter" had been at our Shelter for almost a year.  While he was a great dog, he always seemed to be overlooked for the cute little dogs and puppies.  But he knew if he waited and hoped long enough, the right family would come along.  And they sure did!  Jason and Tammy, along with their children Zac, Jaciana, and Jacob, were exactly what Cutter had been hoping for!  They had just the right set-up for him, with a doggie door leading to a fenced-in back yard.  Cutter is so happy he waited for his perfect new family to find him and love him!
Preston.jpg
"Preston" was just a doll who was the exact breed mix his new family was looking for. After losing their last Sharpei/Chow 'Otis' to old age, they knew little Preston was the puppy for them! He joins a super family with parents Craig & Corry, as well as children John & Jenna to keep him entertained. We know he'll be a very happy little blue eyed boy!
Callie.JPG
Little "Calley" was super cute and very sweet!  Jay and Paula already own another cat who likes to snuggle with the family dog, so we know Calley will have enough snuggle friends when her family is away. Pictured with their daughter we know she'll be a well-loved little girl!
HoneyBun.JPG
"Honey Bun" found herself homeless after her owner died unexpectedly, however it didn't take long for Glorine and Philip to see her online. They love Terriers and Pugs, so she was a perfect match.  The girls already have plans of dressing the little cutie up in clothes so we're sure she'll be living the pampered life!
Waldo.JPG

"Waldo" was a super cute guy, who now has a super home with new parents Tanya & Adam, as well as their five other roommates.  It's apparent this guy will never be lacking love or attention! He has an invisible fence to play in and even another doggie friend to goof with named Rocky.  We know Waldo, despite his "pitbullish" look everyone is so fearful of, will have a super home for life!

Porky.jpg
Shawn and Kris came to our adoption fair looking for a lovable and playful kitten.  They sure found that with "Porky"!  Porky joins three children, Shawna, Britni, and Austin, and we know they are all have a great time together!
FestusNewly.jpg
Kari fell in love with "Newly" and "Festus" (two of our 'Gunsmoke' kittens) at our Adoption Fair, and was delighted when she got to take them home.  They have been renamed 'Damien' and 'Socrates', and we've heard back that they are doing wonderfully in their new home!
Buzz1.jpg
"Buzz" was the cutest little Pomeranian ever, but was a stray that came to the Shelter.  Unclaimed by his family, Buzz also had an injury to his eye that had become infected.  Buzz underwent surgery and lost his eye to the infection, but didn't lose one bit of the love he had to offer.  Jessica and Pawel fell in love with the little sweetie, and couldn't wait to take him home.  Now called "Wink", we've heard back that he has healed up from his surgery and has filled their home with lots of love and fun!
Jilly.jpg
Angela and Julie found little "Jilly" when they were looking for a new puppy online.  They travelled all the way from Minnesota to take their little sweetie home, but we know the long trip was worth it for all of them.  Jilly joined several other pets and is now sharing a loving home with her wonderful new family!

Dundee.jpg
"Dundee" was a cutie who was lucky to be adopted by great new parents Scott & Sarah. They had held off on a puppy until the kids were old enough, and now that they were ready, Dundee was just what they were looking for! He has two wonderful children to play with and a stay at home mom, so he'll rarely be alone.
Talise.jpg
"Talise" was a puppy everyone wanted due to her super cute face.  New owners Denise and Michael fell in love with her photo online and drove several hours to bring her home. They recently lost their last Chow to old age and knew Talise was just the puppy they needed!
Burt.jpg
"Burt", our little MinPin, got a new name, 'Barkley', and a great new home with Tamie and Timothy and their daughter Alyssa.  They fell in love with Burt as he was playful and sweet, and was just the right size they were looking for.  He joins two cats, Simba and Sasha, and we're sure he's enjoying lots of entertaining times with his new family!
Arianna.jpg
"Arianna" was a beautiful puppy and found a great new home with Wendy and her daugter Katie.  They were looking for a friend for their dog 'Ella', and wanted to bring more love and excitement to their family.  We know that Arianna, now called 'Daisy', was able to do exactly that!
Woody.jpg
"Woody" found a great new home with Benjamin and Mandy.  After having been found abandoned in a wood-burning stove, Woody was happy to find a new loving family to call his own.  Benjamin and Mandy had recently lost their dog to cancer, and Woody was exactly what they needed to make their family complete again.
Jelly.jpg
Sheila and Richard were looking for a small dog to be a companion to their current dog, Chelsea.  Little "Jelly" was just a bundle of love looking for a new family to give her a great new home.  She is now enjoying lots of fun and love, as she joined three children, Emily, Abigail and Madeline.
Missy.jpg
Mary and Dave were looking on PetFinder for an older kitty when they came across "Missy".  Eleven years old, Missy was very much in need of a home where she could be loved for the rest of her life.  Lucky for her, Mary and Dave were willing to travel to CCHS where they were happy to adopt her into their family!
Burnie.jpg
Kay was looking for a new dog after losing her Cocker to old age.  She said her house just felt too empty.  Luckily, she found little "Burnie" to change all that.  After being rescued from a wood-burning stove, Burnie was very much in need of a new mom to provide lots of love and attention.  It was definitely a great match!
Rocco.jpg
Maria and Jim found just the dog they were looking for at our Shelter.  "Rocco" caught their hearts, as he was friendly and gentle.  He also was a very smart boy who already had some training and was eager to learn more.  Rocco was happy to join their family which included three new 'siblings', Sam, Ben and Adam.
Cream.jpg
"Cream" was the cutest little puppy that everybody just loved!  He found a great new home with Christine, who has a big fenced-in yard for her to play in.  We know that Cream is now the center of attention, getting to go for lots of walks, and even learning to run along when her mom goes for a bike ride.
Thumper.JPG
"Thumper" was a cuddler who will have a great new life with Justin.  After moving out from his parents' home where two other adopted CCHS cats lived, he knew he had to stop down to see what kitties were available. Thumper caught his eye and we know will keep him entertained with her cuddly disposition and squeaky meow!
Butterfinger.JPG
"Butterfinger" was the last of his 'Butter' litter and was very happy to find a great new home with Jerry and Tina, as well as two children to keep him entertained. He was a cute little guy with a big purr motor and loved people, so we're sure everyone will enjoy his fun and sweet personality!
Bingo.JPG
Ryan came to CCHS looking for a new kitty friend.  "Bingo" really caught his attention, as he liked his handsome "Russian Blue" gray coat.  After thinking about it a bit, Ryan and Ginger decided Bingo was the right kitty for them and soon Bingo was on his way to his new home!
Jasper.jpg
Charlotte came to CCHS one Saturday to check out the kitties we had available for adoptiong.  Little "Jasper" did her very best to win her heart, and it looks like he was successful!  His playful personality and affectionate nature was just was Charlotte was looking for, and Jasper was lucky enough to get a great new home!
Stanley.jpg
Kari and Jeremy came to CCHS and fell in love with one of our little kittens, Squeekers.  Unfortunately, that little kitten was already on hold to be adopted, so "Stanley" was their next choice.  Much to their surprise, Stanley (now called Kelsifer) turned out to be a perfect fit for their lifestyle and they couldn't be happier than to have him as part of their lives!
chloe2.jpg
Traci came to our Adoption Fair with her children Ian and Tessa, and they all fell in love with "Chloe".  They were looking for an adult cat, as she's harder to adopt plus she's past the kitten stage.  Chloe also was a beautiful Calico with a very cute black nose.  Chloe joins another kitty, Sassy, as well as a Scottish Terrier, Annie.
China.jpg
Jess and Tori were looking for a cat who would be their indoor companion, after their other kitty did not want to be inside.  They found "China" and knew she was just the loving kitty they were looking for.  We're glad that China found a new loving home where she will be safe as an inside kitty.
SaraJane.jpg
Kirsten and Jason had recently purchased their own home, and were now ready to add a kitty to their family.  They found "Sara Jane" at our adoption fair, and knew she was just the right kitty for them.  Very gentle yet fun-loving, she was a good match for their children Braedon and Savana.  We're so happy they were able to add her to their family!
Doc.jpg
Elizabeth had been thinking of getting a kitten for a while, and now it was finally the right time in her life.  She found "Doc", one of our 'Gunsmoke' kittens.  Now called 'Jeffrey', his personality was exactly what Elizabeth was looking for, and she knew he would fit well with her.
Buttercup.jpg
Rosella was looking for a playful kitten to add to her family.  She currently has two cats, Neela and Gracie.  Her sons, Logan and Nathan, fell in love with little "Buttercup", and they all knew she would be a great addition to their family!
