Marshal.jpg

Jessica had decided it was time to have a kitty friend, and came to our Adoption Fair to find just the right one.  She fell in love with little Smoochie, but then decided that maybe it was a good idea to have two kittens to keep each other company while she was at work.  She found "Marshal" on our website, and knew he was just the one she wanted!  Smoochie isn't quite ready to go home yet, but we know that Marshal will be having a great time until his brother gets there!

Babs.jpg

Lori and her family love their Pug Chopper, and had been thinking about getting another one.  They found our little "Babs" on line, and knew it was meant to be.  Now called "Babby", the little Pug had some health issues that Lori was more than willing to take care of.  We'd heard back that everybody is doing well.  Babby is shown above with Lori and her daughter Tasha, Babby's new best friend.  We're so happy that Babs was so lucky to find such a wonderful home!

Bounce.jpg

Susan met "Bounce" when she was at the Shelter volunteering.  It was love at first sight!  After discussing it with her husband David, Susan was soon back to the Shelter to pick up Bounce and take her home.  Now called "Shayna", she joins a wonderful family filled with love.  We know that she's doing her very best to keep everybody entertained!

Sable.jpg

"Sable" is a very special dog, and she found a very special home!  A Great Dane, Sable came to the Shelter when her previous family moved into town and could no longer keep her.  Tom and Robin already had a Great Dane named Oliver and a Siberian Husky named Baxter.  But they knew they still had room in their hearts for Sable.  Sable was scared to get into their truck to go home, but this wonderful couple worked over an hour with Sable so that she was confident enough to go home with them.  We've already had pictures back of her sleeping on their couch.  What a lucky dog!!

Disco.jpg

Nathan & Amanda happened to be reading their Saturday newspaper when they saw our Pet of the Week.  "Disco" was the featured dog, and they knew right away he was something special.  They immediately called the Shelter to put him on hold until they could get there to meet him.  Once them met him, they said he was "the perfect dog" and he was off to his perfect new home!

Bud.jpg

Susan and Rod heard about "Bud" from Sue's sister, a CCHS dog volunteer.  They had been looking for a companion for their dogs, Gus and Jodie, and felt that Bud would be a perfect fit.  Now called "Brett", he was happy to join their family including children Adam, Jordan, and Taylor.  We're sure that the whole family is enjoying spending time with Brett!

Duchess.jpg

Adam stopped by our Adoption Fair and fell in love with "Duchess", one of our beautiful Tortoiseshell kitties.  He and his family came to the Shelter one week later to pick her up, and we know that Duchess has now filled his home with lots of fun and love!

Tasha.jpg

"Tasha" was one very happy girl when Ginny and Bob decided to adopt her!  They were looking for a companion for their 4-month old Chocolate Lab, 'Hershey', and the two got along great.  Ginny and Bob love to go for long walks, yet also have a great fenced yard for the dogs to play in.  We couldn't be happier that Tasha found such a great place to live!

Brewster.jpg

Chris had stopped by our Adoption Fair at Marshfield Vet Service's Open House.  He saw a dog there he thought was interesting, and came to the Shelter to check her out.  While there he met "Brewster", and decided that he was the right one!  Brewster has joined a home filled with love, including Chris's children Erin and Mike, three dogs (Kitten, Mystic & Princess), four cats (Lacy, Pluto, Mercury & Queenie) and two Guinea pigs!

KarmaMay.jpg

Angela drove all the way from Minnesota to meet Karma May, and thought that she was absolutely beautiful!  Having grown up with Huskies, she was well familiar with their antics, as well as their unique needs.  Living by herself, Karma May will be the center of attention and go for a long walk/run everyday.  We think that it's a perfect match and know that they are very happy together!

Charity.jpg

Judy had recently moved to the area, and stopped by our Adoption Fair to find a new kitty friend to love.  She thought "Charity" was just beautiful, and also happened to have the same name as her daughter.  It was meant to be!  Charity was very happy to have a home to call her own.

gabby2.jpg

"Gabby" was a very special girl who had been with us at the Shelter for a long time while she waited for a new family to love.  Fortunately for all of us, Maggie and Jake decided they were ready for a new dog in their lives.  Now having a home with a large back yard and an empty spot in their hearts, they knew it was time to get a dog. Having previous experience with older dogs, they knew that they could give Gabby the home and love that she needed.  We're so happy for all of them, and we know they are having a great time together!

Simon.jpg

"Simon" was one of those boys that had both looks & personality! His new mom Nichole (on right) is related to one of our volunteers & when coming to help clean, she just knew he was a cat she had to have. He joins 2 beautiful Huskies, Ghost & Spirit, as well as 3 other spoiled kitty friends, Pharaoh, Empress, & Jester, 2 of which are Siamese too!

Rex.jpg

Luke and Stacy were delighted to find a great dog like "Rex" at CCHS.  Luke was looking for a dog to ride along in his truck and be his 'Shop Dog', yet spend time with them at home at night.  Lucky for Rex, they picked him.  We've already heard back that they love their 'big dog', and that he's a wonderful bundle of energy.  We're so glad to know that Rex has great new home!

Revo.jpg

Charley (pictured above) and Steven were looking for a family dog who would enjoy spending time with their children.  Little "Revo" quickly stole their hearts and was soon on his way to his home. We know he's know enjoying going for long walks and sitting on the couch watching 'Animal Planet' during the day!

Roskers.jpg

Bruce and Edna has recently lost their Sheltie, and couldn't believe how much "Roskers" looked like their other dog.  They knew as soon as they saw him that Roskers was the dog they were meant to have.  Roskers is now living the good life with a terrific family to love him for a long, long time.

Delilah.jpg

"Delilah" was the cutest Cocker, and she got a great new home with Rachel.  Rachel had just moved into her own house, with a great fenced backyard, and was ready for a new friend to love.  Now living in a great neighborhood, Delilah has lots of doggie and people friends to spoil her with love and attention.

Belle.jpg

"Blue Belle, named for her beautiful blue eyes, was a doll that could steal any one's heart!  Bobbi Jo had actually come to visit another dog & decided Belle was exactly the dog they've been waiting for. We hear her young son even said that on a scale of 1 - 10, "Belle scores a 10!" We know she's going to have the best life possible now with a great family to give her all she'd ever want.

TicklesSpook.jpg

"Spook" had been with us almost a year simply because he was a black cat. Lucky for him, Susan & Patrick owned a dog named 'Boo' and said "their next cat was going to be named Spook"...and he happened to win their hearts! While visiting him in our cat room, they also fell in love with "Tickles" (now 'Punkin' to keep the theme!) who had a tough start. He had been attacked and hurt when only three weeks old and required surgery and foster care.  Tickles is now happy & healthy, and we know both kitties will be incredibly loved!

Greta.jpg

"Greta" was the sweetest little girl we had at the Shelter!  An Affenpinscher, she had been rescued from a puppy mill and was so very happy to find a new home with Judith and her son Kurtis.  We've heard that little Greta is adjusting well to her new home and even slept in bed with Judith the first night!  We're so happy that Greta finally has the loving home she so deserves!

Flame2.jpg

Our "Flame" was the most handsome Shiba Inu we'd had at the Shelter.  He found a great new home with Barbara & Doug, who were looking for a new doggie companion.  We've heard back that Flame is just the most perfect little dog, and they couldn't have asked for a better match.  We're so happy that Flame is doing so well with his great new family!

Shaggy.jpg

Kim & Nick, and their children Kora, Dereck & Haily came to the Shelter to find a new kitty to add to their family.  They gave it lots of thought, and decided that "Shaggy" was just too cute.  Shaggy will join Mazey, a Jack Russell Terrier, at home.  We're sure this great family is sharing lots of time and love with little "Shaggy".

Gold.jpg

Patricia & Mark, and their children, John, Kel & Matt, fell in love with little "Gold" when they met her at the Shelter.  They'd had a Beagle before, and were very excited to add her to their family.  Gold joins two kitty friends as well as a guinea pig!  We know that Gold is enjoying being the center of attention with lots of hugs and doggie treats!

Britta.jpg

"Britta" is now called "Gretta" in her new home with Cheryl and Michael.  They were looking for a companion and playmate for their current dog, Soley.  They felt Gretta had just the personality they were looking for, plus she was a very pretty girl!  Gretta has sent notes back to us at the Shelter, and she reports that things are going well and she's extremely happy in her new home.  And that makes us extremely happy too!

Pretzel.jpg

"Pretzel" was very lucky to find a new home with Jennifer and Dustin.  They had recently been married and knew it was time to add a dog to their family.  He will be their only pet, so we know that we will be the center of attention and quite spoiled!

Cookie.jpg

Joseph, Mary, and their daughter Jacqueline found "Cookie" on our website and applied right away.  They had recently lost their family dog, Brandi, to old age, and knew it was time to add a new member to their family.  Cookie is now called "Maya", and she joins three kitty friends, Spooky, Loki & Bubbles, and we're sure the kitties are doing a great job teaching Maya the best way to behave!

punky1.jpg

Gary & Evonne stopped by our Adoption Fair looking for more information about our dogs.  They then stopped at the Shelter to meet them, and fell in love with "Punky".  Gary & Evonne's daughter is a former Shelter volunteer, so we know the whole family is great with animals.  Punky is a very lucky puppy to be joining a home filled with fun and love!

Daphne.jpg

Grace fell in love with little "Daphne" when her friend was taking care of them in foster care.  As soon as they were big enough to come back to the Shelter, Grace knew she needed to have little Daphne in her life.  She had taken care of cats for her family previously, and had decided it was now time to have a kitty of her own.  We don't think she could have found one cuter or sweeter than little Daphne, and we know they are having a wonderful time together!

Rijo.jpg

Lucille came to our Adoption Fair to find a playmate for the kitten (Priscilla) she had adopted from us earlier.  Seems her little kitty was just too playful and getting into trouble on her own.  Lucille thought that our little "Rijo" would make a great friend and help to keep Priscilla busy and out of trouble!

Gadget.jpg

Heather came to our Adoption Fair looking for a new kitty for her family.  They had just lost their cat to cancer, and her children very much missed having a kitty around.  They all decided that "Gadget" was a good fit for their home, and we're sure that they are all having a wonderful time together.

Snowy.jpg

Kristina came to our Adoption Fair at Marshfield Vet Service looking for a new friend. She had just lost her previous cat to illness, and felt that "Snowy" would help to fill that void. We know that Snowy was happy to share lots of love with Kristina and that both are doing well together.

Bogie.jpg

Stewart was looking for a new friend, and asked his friend Annette, who works in Rescue, to help him find the perfect dog.  They came to CCHS and found "Bogie".  Bogie was a great dog who had been waiting for just the right person to come and adopt him.  We know that Bogie is now one very lucky dog, having a new owner like Stewart who will dote on him and love him for years to come!

Mia.jpg

"Mia" was a sweet little black kitten who found herself homeless when her owner moved on to school. She was a little doll, but passed by until Lynn & Charles stopped by.  She joins a Persian mix, 'Cilla', adopted from CCHS a few years ago & and a great family whose last two cats lived to be 18 years old.

Peyton.jpg

Joren and Jay decided to add a dog to their family, now that they had gotten married and have a new house.  They liked "Peyton" as he was very energetic, and Joren is hoping to have him train with her for running and triathlon races.  Peyton's a very lucky boy who now has a big backyard to play in and a great new family to love him!

Whiskers.jpg

"Whiskers" (on right) couldn't have found a better home than with this Sheltie loving family. She came to us with a few others in her family from a breeder who was no longer able to care for them. She certainly needs a lot of extra TLC, which is just what she'll get with Lori & Kevin.  Plus, with 'Teddy", a Sheltie buddy to teach her the ropes, we know she'll have a great new life!

Howie.jpg

As you can see in the photo, "Howie" was so grateful to be going home. He was the last of his "Gemstone" litter, and ready to start his new life with Ashley & her boyfriend Matt.  He will be the center of attention, with a few other rescue dogs next door to goof around with. We're glad this special boy finally found a great home to call his own!

Roscoe.jpg

"Roscoe" won the heart of so many with his looks alone, yet was lucky enough to go home with Barbara (pictured with her daughter). She & her husband Robert have two other small rescue dogs and were willing to do whatever was needed to make sure Roscoe fit in as a happy member of the family!
