Rita.jpg

Little “Rita”, our 4# cutie was found after we suspect someone tried drowning her. She was the best little girl in the world, but because she was born blind, the breeder probably knew they couldn't sell her. She captured everyone's heart from the second she met them, and couldn't have found a better home than with Margie & her children. She will be quite the pampered princess as she prances on her walks in her doggie outfits! We're all sure she'll be the envy of the neighborhood, which is why her new name "NV" couldn't be a better fit!

Tygra.jpg

“Tygra” was one of our six "Tiger Kittens".  Tygra found a fantastic home with Deb and Rhonda who had previously adopted two kittens, Twyla (now Jinx) and Jessie (who was Binx). Sadly Binx passed away soon after adoption due to a sudden and unexpected anemia, a very rare condition. We are very glad the ladies came back to CCHS to adopt another sweetie when they were ready and that little Tygra, now ‘Ally’, was the lucky girl. We know the two kittens will be playing and cuddling together a lot and have a super new family to spoil them!

DigitPhilly.jpg

“Digit” and “Philly” not only found a great home, they got to keep their names and be adopted together! Pictured with Mom Kristy (on the right) and daughters Kim and Megan, our super sweet boys are sure to have a great new life ahead of them filled with tons of love!

Froy.jpg

“Froy's” new mom and dad, Kent and Stacy, volunteer at a shelter and decided their next dog would be a rescue. We are so glad they chose our big, lovable teddy bear to spoil since he certainly couldn't have found a better home! He joins two wonderful and well-trained Shelties Giorgio and Max and will now have the life he's always dreamed up with this great couple!

Gidget.jpg

"Gidget" was the last of her 'Idget' litter and very glad to find a great new home with Sharon and Jim where she's sure to be the center of attention.  The family decided to add a kitten to their home several weeks ago, and today was the big day since it was their daughter's birthday. We know she now has a super new family to call her own!

jack1.jpg

“Decroy Jack” sadly had to be returned to the shelter after several years in his home due to the sudden and unexpected death of his dad. A lot changed for him in a short period of time, but he adjusted well and is now going to be a happy boy with Brian and Laura as well as their children and other adopted cat from CCHS, Fezwick!

Freesia.jpg

“Freesia's” new mom & dad, Andrew and Arlene, stopped down to look at cats and Freesia won their hearts. After their last dog died of old age, they certainly missed having a companion, and knew a cat would be more suitable for their lifestyle now. The couple wanted a friend who was affectionate & Freesia (now Gypsy) wanted a family where she'd be the center of attention!

SandyBear.jpg

“Sandy Bear” is going to be a spoiled boy with 2 great kids to play with and great parents, Jodi and Kris.  He will get tons of attention since he has a stay at home mom to cater to all his needs, take him on walks, and provide lots of fun car rides too! His grandma even has a rescued CCHS dog, and is thinking of another, so we know he'll get lots of time playing with other doggie friends too.

Tiffin.jpg

Little “Tiffin” was far too cute to be homeless.  He was our official "toe licker" when you entered the cat room, Kitty City! He quickly won the hearts of Tammy and Dave who just lost their Maine Coon cat to old age. Tiffin reminded them very much in looks of that cat, and now is a cherished member of the family.  He joins 2 Ragdoll cats and is guaranteed a great new life!

Biana.jpg

Our little 3.5# Chihuhua “Bianca” had tons of people after her! Rev Bob & his wife, Mary, as well as two children are very thankful for being the chosen family to adopt her! She joins a super family that will cater to all her needs, as well as another little Chihuhaua to play with who is lonely after her old doggie companion died.

widget.jpg

Little "Widget" (from the 'Idget' litter) found a great new home with two sweet little girls.  After losing their last cat to old age Scott & Barb decided it was time to add another cat friend. He'll be a happy little guy with two girls to spoil him as their little baby!

Cinnamon.jpg

"Cinnamon" won the heart of a little boy...and of course the rest of the family! She was very gentle, very sweet & such a pretty little girl. We certainly know she's going to be more than loved with her new parents, Julie and Greg, and have a blast playing with her new best friend!

OwowFaith.jpg

“Owow” was one of our most special little kitties.  Owow had come to the Shelter after being attacked by a wild critter and spent a lot of time in foster care recovering.  Bob & Karen came to our Shelter to adopt two kitties, and Owow quickly caught their hearts.  They decided that “Faith” would be a good companion for Owow, as she loved to play but was still very sweet.  We’re so happy that our two kitties got a wonderful new home!

Tullah.jpg

Tina came to the Shelter with her dog Bailey looking for a new friend for both of them.  Tina quickly fell in love with “Tullah”.  Tullah and Bailey got along wonderfully, and soon Tullah was headed home with Tina.  We’ve already heard back from Tina that Tullah has adjusted well and has filled her new home with love.

Milkshake.jpg

“Milkshake” was a beautiful Cocker who needed a special home.  He found just the right place with Marla, one of our volunteer’s Aunt.  He brought Marla and her family to the Shelter to see the animals, and soon Milkshake was going home.  We know that Milkshake and Marla are sharing lots of love together!

onyx1.jpg

Lori & Brian came all the way from Appleton to pick up their new dog, "Onyx".  After recently losing their dog to cancer, they knew it was time to have a new puppy to love.  Onyx, now called Henry, was very happy to go home with Lori & Brian, as well as their children Nicholas & Jack.  He's looking forward to lots of years filled with love, as well as trips to the dog park to play frisbee.

Cheshire.jpg

Jennifer had her heart set on adopting a black kitten, and came to the Shelter to pick one out.  She had a really tough decision, as there were lots to pick from.  After spending time with the kittens, "Cheshire" was the lucky kitty Jennifer picked.  With a beautiful black coat and a unique white tip on his tail, we know that Cheshire has filled Jennifer's home with lots of love and fun!

Mulligan.jpg

"Mulligan's" new mom Kate drove quite a distance for him, but who could resist his sweet face, loving nature and comical personality?  We can just see how proud Mulligan is in his picture, and we can almost hear him saying "See what I got?  I'm going home with my new Mom today!  I'm just the luckiest guy around!!"

rajah2.jpg
Richard and Ethel came to CCHS with their grandson looking for a new friend after recently losing their cat to cancer.  Richard wanted a sweet little kitty who’d like to sit on his lap and cuddle.  He found exactly that in “Rajah”.  He renamed the kitten 'Geicho', and the two quickly became friends.  Sadly, Richard recently passed away.  We are happy for the time that he had with Geicho, and we extend our sympathy to his family.
petey1.jpg

“Petey” spent a long time waiting for a new home simply because he was active and black. We found a great family who loves black dogs and had another lab, ‘Buddy’, to keep him entertained...as well as 3 great children, Brittany, Brianna, and Blaire.  We know he'll be a well-loved boy in his new country home getting lots of exercise and attention!

Zeber.jpg

“Zeber” was named for his gorgeous stripes like a zebra, and was such an affectionate, great boy with a wonderful personality.  Now called ‘Bella’, We know that Deb and George will certainly love and pamper him for years to come.

Ripley1.jpg

“Ripley” had been homeless for quite a while simply due to his energy and age. With a great new family with parents Emery & Barbara, a Sheltie companion named ‘Chewy’ at home, and daily trips out to the farm to help with the cows, we know he now has it made!  We all look forward to his smiling face as he's enjoying the life he was meant to have.  Ripley is shown above with Emery and his son, Patrick.

scorch1.jpg

“Scorch” hit a streak of bad luck with two families that just didn't have enough time for him, but that's all changed now.  New parents Jacqueline and Kristopher were very excited to add him to their family, as well as their other Aussie, Trinity.  He'll be a spoiled boy who will get tons of snuggle time with the family, car rides, and play time with his new buddy!

alonzo1.jpg

“Alonzo” now joins a great family after losing their last dog to old age. Jessica and Marvin wanted a lighter colored, lab size dog who liked being outdoors often, and Alonzo just happened to fit that! He was a sweet boy who will get all the love he wants as center of attention since he preferred to be 'top dog'. We know he's going to be a happy boy!

Stone.jpg

“Stone” (from our Gem pups) is one lucky boy living with a super couple, Diane & Daniel, in their country home. He joins an 11-month old puppy, Scooby, so it was only natural to name him Scrappy! We've heard the 2 puppies are already inseparable ad we're confident he's with a loving family that will provide him lots of exercise...especially once he gets a new fenced yard!

Atari.jpg

“Atari” couldn't be happier to join an active, outdoorsy family with Georgetta and Raymond.  He'll get to go along on trail rides with the horses, as well as have a 6 year old Heeler & 16 year old Border Collie to wrestle and chase.  He was just what this great family was looking for!

Tiara.jpg

“Tiara” felt sad after her sister Princess was adopted, but knew better things in life were sure to come with her new family.  Being black she was passed over for a long time, however Kevin and Bonnie fell in love with her great personality, as well as their children who she'll certainly enjoy playing with. We know they'll all be one big happy family now!

Sparks.jpg

Sparks'” mom  Nancy knew he was the one she wanted when she looked online. Not only was he the color she wanted, she felt it was meant to be since they had the same name! He joins another kitty friend to goof off with and we know will be a very happy little guy!

Diamond.jpg

"Diamond" was our 'extra special' girl since some would say she was special needs...but to know her you'd quickly realize she's just like any other puppy! She was born with a birth defect that made her back legs "hop" opposed to walk. New mom Mary saw her online, fell in love, and knew the second she and her husband Michael met her she was part of their family. They are used to special needs pets, and we hear adore Diamond (now Abby).  She is running up and down steps just fine and is probably one of the sweetest pups around. We're so glad this great couple opened their hearts and home to such a little angel!

Tweedle.jpg

Steve came in looking for a black kitten...which we just so happened to have (as if we ever run out of black pets!)  "Tweedle" will now be a spoiled little guy in his new home with a dad to cuddle with and two Maine Coon cat friends to play with!

Piper.jpg

Laurie and Steve had been looking for a new Border Collie since losing their previous dog to old age.  They found “Piper” on our website, and knew he was just what they were looking for.  They came to the Shelter to meet Piper and knew he was a perfect fit.  “Piper” will be joining Wilma, a miniature Dachshund, as well as two other ‘siblings’, John & Mary.

Marmaduke.jpg

“Marmaduke” was a great puppy with a great personality, but showed signs of growing to become a big dog.  Fortunately for him, Bob & Deb came to CCHS looking for a pet exactly like him.  After losing their last dog, they knew their home was just too empty and they needed a new friend.  Marmaduke was the lucky one selected to join their family!

Checkers.jpg

Chris was looking for a large black and white cat, and found exactly that in “Checkers”.  Checkers really didn’t like the other cats, and he had been at the Shelter a long time waiting for a new family.  So he was especially glad that Chris chose him for a new friend!

Pearl.jpg

Jennifer & Clint fell in love with “Pearl”, one of our ‘Gem’ puppies.  They were looking for a puppy to love and also for a playmate for their dog Hunter.  Pearl also caught the hearts of their children, Elizabeth and Jocelyn.  We know that little Pearl has brought lots of fun and love to their family.

Princess.jpg

Carmel was in town visiting family when she decided to stop at the Shelter to check out our dogs.  "Princess" had exactly the personality she was looking for, and soon Princess was on her way home to Madison to join Carmel's family.
